OUR WORK
A Platform for Mutual Success
Our work is centered on West Africans within Africa and its diaspora who are striving to achieve their full potential and become integral parts of the global economy. We create economic ecosystems where each person is able to earn a sustainable income, build savings, and maintain assets, ultimately leading to resilient and thriving communities.
Owning Our Future
We are committed to transforming the dynamic where foreign aid and remittances often lead to dependency and hinder the growth of local economies
We implement and advocate for programs that foster collaborative and interconnected networks among individuals, organizations, and both public and private sectors.
We are confident that by promoting West African regenerative culture, traditional knowledge, and indigenous commodities, we can navigate the complex journey toward socio-economic mobility and self-sustainment.
Our Theory of Change
We're excited to share our insights on Interdependence, Collaboration, and Network
Effects—the core values that drive our approach. This detailed reflection analyzes key findings and learnings from our work with local entrepreneurs, community leaders, and global partners, illustrating how our values lead to transformative economic opportunities.
Our Approach
Our approach transforms the dynamic of external dependency by fostering self-reliance and resilience and creates a better tomorrow through two key, synergistic strategies:
Makervillages: Supporting People in Crisis
Through our flagship initiative, Makervillages, we support people where they are. These centralized hubs provide essential services, resources, and infrastructure to support the entire value chain of West African commodities and talent. By integrating interdependent business units and networks into a single village, we create dynamic economic ecosystems that establish sustainable links between West Africa and global markets.
Food Sovereignty: Building Shared Prosperity
We achieve shared prosperity by recognizing the critical importance of Food Sovereignty for the economic, health, and social well-being of the region. This strategy involves initiatives that enhance agricultural practices, promote sustainable farming, and reduce dependency on external food sources. By strengthening local food systems, we empower communities to have access to nutritious, culturally appropriate food, fostering resilience and self-sufficiency.
Multiply Your Impact
Our work is made possible by generous contributions—big and small—from people like you. Give today to help your neighbors earn sustainable income, build savings, and ultimately lead to resilient and thriving communities.
